Campus Placement Roadmap (TCS · Infosys · Accenture · Wipro)

The online assessments of the big IT hirers follow one pattern: numerical, reasoning, verbal, pseudocode and a coding round. This plan covers each section in the order that earns marks fastest.

9 milestones · ~165 hours total

  1. 1

    Know the pattern

    ~2h

TCS NQT tests numerical, verbal and reasoning ability plus programming logic and coding; Accenture adds pseudocode and a communication round; Infosys tests reasoning, maths, verbal, pseudocode and puzzles. Note each company's sections, timing and cut-offs before you study anything.

  2. 2

    Numerical ability

    ~25h

Percentages, ratios, profit and loss, time and work, speed–distance–time, boats and streams, averages, permutations and combinations, probability and data interpretation. Learn the formulas, then drill them against a clock.

  3. 3

    Reasoning ability

    ~25h

Number and letter series, coding–decoding, direction sense, blood relations, seating arrangements and puzzles, syllogisms, clocks and calendars. Draw every puzzle out on paper.

  4. 4

    Verbal ability

    ~20h

Sentence completion, error spotting, para jumbles, reading comprehension and idioms; TCS also tests passage recall and a professional email. Read one editorial a day and practise writing short emails.

  5. 5

    Pseudocode and programming logic

    ~15h

Trace loops, recursion, arrays, strings, bitwise operators and integer division by hand. Cover the code, write each variable's value line by line, and only then check the answer.

    Practice this →
  6. 6

    Coding patterns

    ~40h

Arrays, strings, two pointers, prefix sums, sorting, recursion and basic dynamic programming. Practise reading input and printing output exactly — partial marks come from passing test cases.

  7. 7

    CS fundamentals for the interview

    ~25h

Operating systems, DBMS and SQL, computer networks and OOP — the subjects technical interviews return to. Be ready to explain each idea in two minutes.

  8. 8

    Timed mocks

    ~10h

Take the pseudocode and coding rounds under a timer, then analyse every mistake: was it concept, speed or carelessness? Repeat the weak section the next day.

  9. 9

    Profile and résumé

    ~3h

Finish your Codveri profile, add projects, and switch on talent search so recruiters can invite you to apply once you have a verified rating.
